Ganesha (Sanskrit: गणेश) is one of the most worshiped deities in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. Ganesha is readily identified by his elephant head, and is therefore commonly referred to as “The Elephant God.” He is widely revered throughout various parts of Asia (India, Tibet, China, Thailand, etc) as the remover of bad luck, the patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom.
