Palden Lhamo ("Glorious Goddess", Tibetan: དཔལ་ལྡན་ལྷ་མོ) is a Dharmapala, or “wrathful deity” in Tibetan Buddhism. She is the wrathful form of Lakshmi, a principal goddess in Hinduism. She is thought to be the major tutelary goddess in Tibetan Buddhism and a protector of the country Bhutan.
